Very nice verge fusee French oignon watch from early of XVIII century. It's big and thick watch, diameter is 57mm, thickness 33mm, weight is 157 grams. Beautiful white enamel dial with convex places for hours.. Big balance bridge is very attractive, it's beautifully decorated with chimeras and floral ornament.Movement has typical early XVIII construction, with square baluster pillars, fusee with 9 turns, lack of escapement adjustments. Watch is signed by Burette in Paris. The watch, constructed as typical big Louis XIV oignon, should be produced in very beginning of his career, as already in 1720s watches became lot smaller. Condition Watch appears to be in quite nice condition. Dial is in rare good condition with very few minor defects. Movement is running in every position, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The plain silver case appears to be in ok condition with minor defects. Good watch in excellent condition, very reasonably priced. The item "1710s OIGNON Verge Fusee Antique Pocket Watch MONTRE COQ SpindelTaschenuhr" is in sale since Friday, June 21, 2019.
