Antique 1853 Chester 18ct Gold Key Wind Open Face Pocket Watch This is a simply beautiful antique pocket watch and in fine condition for a watch dating back over 160 years. The watch has a gorgeous solid 18 carat gold case, textured dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position and stunning foliate detail to the centre.

The back of the case has a vacant cartouche so the watch could be personalized. The watch is fully hallmarked for 18 carat gold, Chester, 1853 and'R. S' makers mark for Ralph Samuel of Liverpool. The inner and outer covers are hallmarked and stamped with a serial number of'6825'.

The movement is engraved with the serial number and it is signed'Pat Trucott Aberyswyth'. Dimensions The watch has a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm). It weighs 96.4 g. Condition The watch remains in very good condition with a clean dial. It still keeps good time & is in good working order.
