Antique 1928 Waltham 16s 23j Adjusted Vanguard with UP/DN Dial, Lossier Hairspring

  

Up for sale is an antique Waltham 16 size 23 jewel adjusted Vanguard pocket watch in a very nice 10k gold filled Waltham/Keystone train case out of an estate! The model 1908 lever-set movement is marked: Vanguard Waltham, Mass. 23 Jewels Adjusted 6 Positions 26561539 Lossier Inner Terminal Hair Spring.

The movement features gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, and the movement number dates to 1928. The double-sunk UP/DOWN INDICATOR dial is marked: Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels.

The dial is in fair condition, there are some hairlines in the finish - see photos. The original glass crystal is in good condition consistent with the age of the watch. The case is very nice, showing only light scratches, the train is very distinct on the back! There are some very small areas of wear-through up around the bow/crown. Inside the case back is marked: Cased and Timed at the Factory Waltham Watch Co.
