Antique 9 ct Gold Half Hunter Pocket Watch

  

I have here a J W Benson Half Hunter 9 carat Gold Pocket Watch. I'm not sure of the year but the serial number is 3504. A fine example of a quality pocket watch in it's original box. Size 5cm x 7cm (to top of little circle). Full working order, and very good condition, there is a very slight dent on the back of the casing but can only can been seen in a certain light.

I have just been informed that there should be a small piece of glass in the little circle on the lid, mine doesn't, it never has since my grandad owned it, I assumed it was meant to be like this.
