The 4 piece double hinged case to this beautiful watch is FULLY MARKED for 18k. The case back has STUNNING and lovely engine turned decoration. I see NO dings to the outside of the case back. It is in beautiful condition.

The case sides show no damage and The bezel is beautifully engraved with no damage either. The dust cover is SOLID 18K GOLD and is in good condition. All of the covers push to well and snap in as they should.

I have gently polished the case, and it is shining wonderfully as only real SOLID hi grade 18 carat gold can. THE WATCH IS OF GOOD PROPORTIONS AND MEASURES 3.2CMS (32mm) across. This lovely collectible watch has an absolutely STUNNING original white dial. It is FULLY signed by the retailer'Russells Ltd of Liverpool' and is in minty condition with no hairlines or damage that I can see. It has VERY RARE BLUE painted Roman numerals which are in EXCELLENT condition and are very readable.

Unusually for this age of watch there is a sub second dial which is rare. The beautiful antique spade design watch hands are purpled steel and are in good condition. The watch is fitted with what its original GLASS crystal which is in VERY GOOD condition. This is a lovely condition Swiss made signed crown wind and set FULLY SIGNED BAUME & CO HIGH grade LEVER movement which is NOT typical of the movements at this time.

Most movements of this period were the cheaper cylinder movements which were of less quality and were poorer time keepers. It has minty steel screws.

THE WATCH IS IN WORKING ORDER AND HAS JUST BEEN FULLY SERVICED BY MY WATCHMAKER. The watch winds smoothly and sets as it should.

It keeps decent time as tested over a 24 hour period. Please do not however expect total accuracy from a timepiece that is over 100 years old. The crown is solid 18 carat gold and the chain ring looks to be solid gold too. This fantastic watch is complete with a more modern beautiful chain to wear the watch around the neck. It is 17 inches in length and weighs 7.83 grams.

It is marked and has tested for 9 carat gold. This beautiful watch and chain companion set is housed in the ORIGINAL retailers red leather large box. The retailers name matches the name on the watch dial!! The box is in good all round condition apart from some wear to the top of the lid. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well.

Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming. Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service.

By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation. I describe all of my items to the best of my knowledge.
