A superb silver and gold half hunter cased pocket watch with a quality S & Co. Peerless (IWC) movement, dating to 1919/20, in very good condition and good working order, keeping good time. The solid silver case is in very good condition, hinges tight and covers lock shut, the front cover opens when the crown is pressed. The case has London import marks for 1919/20, initials'C. N' for Charles Nicholet, trading as Stauffer, son & Co.

Watch importers and manufacturers and numbered'759353'. The front cover includes a decorative gold chapter ring with blue enamel numerals.

The acrylic crystals are in good condition. The front and rear covers have a couple of small wear marks at the edge at the crown position where the bow hits either side. The main casing measures 49mm in diameter. The enamel dial is in excellent condition, no chips or hairlines.

The hands are in good original condition. The quality Jewelled lever movement is in excellent condition and good working order, keeping good time. It is marked'SWISS MADE' with the'S&CO. The movement is also marked'PEERLESS' with number'636625 H6' and'+55231' on the plate beneath the balance wheel.
