RARE 18K Antique Tiffany & Co Small Ladies' M Pocket Watch 1889 Paris Expo Box

  

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING AND INCREDIBLY RARE! Box from the Pa ris Expo in the late 1800's! Back is mark "TIFFANY & CO" " K18" and "1262". The front of the pocketwatch features a monogram or initial "M" made up of tiny pearls. Both watch appr aisers admired it and said that it is a VERY rare small sized ladie s' pocketwatch.

They were impressed with the box and said that it is appropriate for th is watch and that they should always be kept together (which I did, hehe). They to ok out the mechanism to see if it was made by Patek Phillip; but it was not. It said "T IFFANY & CO" in side actuall y. It is (as it was when I took it to antique's road show) missing the crystal cover and the minute hand. It doesn't wind or run; but could probably be rep aired by someone who knows how to do that sort of thing. The appraisers did say that due to the extremely rare, small size... The crystal would almost certainly have to be made for it. The box is burgundy or maroon and it says. 221 &221 a REGENT ST. AVE DE L'OPERA 36BIS.
