ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! AN EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AND VERY RARE FULLY WORKING GERMAN CIRCA 1900 GUNMETAL VERY SOUGHT AFTER MAN'S 2 FACED OR DOUBLE SIDED POCKET WATCH WITH DAY DATE MOONPHASE AND MONTH. SERVICED AND IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. The 3 piece case to this beautiful watch is made from lovely gunmetal. This type of pocket watch was usually finished with gold trim but it has not been tested. The whole of the main case is made from gunmetal. I can see NO dings and just some normal light wear and tear to the gunmetal's finish to the case back (see pics). All covers snap to really well.

THE WATCH MEASURES 5.5CMS IN DIAMETER (55mm). The back hinge shows no signs of abuse.

This lovely collectible watch has 2 DIALS. THIS IS A DOUBLE OR TWO SIDED POCKET WATCH. The first dial is white in color and has ITS MOONPHASE DIAL which is in very good condition with a blue back ground, gold moon and silver colored stars. It has black painted ROMAN numerals which are crisp and clear. The dial is FULLY SIGNED FOR' J VERHAGEN & CO KOELN' and is also signed' CALENDRIER BREVETEGERMAN MANUFACTURY' The glass crystal looks to be original.

It is showing a few light marks to its surface and some edge nibbles but is in good original condition. The beautiful blued steel antique spade style watch hands are in excellent condition. The second dial is also in excellent condition and records the day date and month. It is gold and white in color and all of the numerals etc are in excellent condition.

This also has its original glass crystal which again shows some light wear. The indicator hand is original and is blued steel. This is an absolutely stunning and quality jeweled and gilded lever movement. It is stamped with the initials J.

It is beautifully made with a good balance and a gorgeous blue overcoiled hairspring. It is a good grade crown wind and pin set with steel screws. This beautiful movement has been FULLY SERVICED by my watch maker and is in excellent working order. The watch runs well, and started to tick after two turns of the gold crown.

The watch keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. It winds smoothly, and the pin setting works as it should. All of the other function wheels and setting pins work as they should.

The crown and chain ring are in excellent condition showing no undue wear to the eye. THIS TYPE OF POCKET WATCH IS A VERY RARE AND WILL INCREASE IN VALUE OVER THE YEARS.

IT WOULD BE A GREAT HEIRLOOM TO PASS DOWN THE GENERATIONS! Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well. Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming.

Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning.

Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation. Please do not waste anyones time if you are not interested.
