The chain is marked "JS" star symbol for the maker, and is fully hallmarked although the date year is obscure. It is most likely Victorian. The shield fob is fully hallmarked as well and the maker is "WHH", from the year of 1912. It is very common to see a relatively newer fob attached to a Victorian chain.

It is neat that every link is marked with the lion guaranteeing its sterling silver content. The whole thing measures approx. 16 long when extended to its maximum length (end of shield to end of swivel clasp); From T-bar to the end of swivel clasp is approx.
