A very fine and rare early 18K yellow gold, open face, keyless pocket watch with six horological complications: Quarter-repeater on two steel gongs (activated by the slide at 2 oclock), Instantaneous perpetual calendar, Retrograde (fly-back) date of the month (half-circle graduation at 12 oclock), Day of the week (aperture at 9 oclock; indications given in French), Month of the year (subsidiary dial at 3 oclock; indications given in French), Phases of the moon (aperture at 12 oclock). 18k Gold case, open face , with hinged case-back, signed inside the Case back, «EUGÈNE LECOULTRE» casemakers mark MF in oval for Meylan Fréres, Case-back engraved in taille-douce with the monogram J C H L; chiselled case band.
