John Lingleton was an English master who first opened a store in London, but in 1790's movet to New York and opened the first small watch store in NY in 1798! This is the very first verge fusee pocket watch made by US watch master that I have ever seen for 20 years in watches business!!!

This is probably the first recorded pocket watch made in USA, which was made 60 years before the first American watch company to be establishedthe American Watch Co aka Waltham was established in 1859. The watch is really impressive-it is 71mm in diameter, and wear 270g together with the chain!

Signed with the English hallmark for silver and date letter hallmark for 1804(the cases for Lingleton was produced in UK and exported to USA, but the movement was entirely produced in USA) Fine enamel excentric dial decorated with skulls. Amazing fire gild movenet-hand pierced and engraved balance cock.

The watch comes with long solid silver chain fob and skull key.
