Antique French Baccarat Green Opaline Glass Pocket Watch Holder Display Stand

  
Antique French pocket watch holder. Of gilt bronze or brass metal mounts, finished with casted floral embellishments and a circular medallion on top fitted with a hook to display a pocket watch, locket or miniature portrait. Encasing a charming opaline glass dish by Baccarat. A lovely green color, the dish is patterned with fluting to the underside and bearing a circular Baccarat paper label.

The renown cristallerie marked their wares with a paper label beginning in 1860, (which often got lost, worn or washed away), and did not use their permanent etched mark until 1936. In overall good antique condition with some wear to the gilt finish. Stands 5 3/4 tall x 3 5/8" wide x 4 1/8" deep. The circular medallion on top is 1 7/8 diameter.
