Rare EM TISSOT DECK CHRONOMETER Antique Vintage Pocket Watch

  

Very nice deck chronometer watch from about 1940s. The watch is beautifully designed according deck watches standards, with white enamel dial and bold black letters. The watch is unsigned, but design is well known and is attributed to EM Tissot. You can easily find pictures of identical EM Tissot branded chronometers on Watchpics website, dedicated to chronometers or MWForum - military watch collectors website. These watches were supplied to British Royal Navy and most often marked with HS3.

They were also retailed by British retailer Golay, who supplied them equally to Royal Navy. Knirim in his book Militaruhren shows similar watch by Golay, noting that such type of watches was used till Falkland Islands war.

Condition The watch appears to be in very good condition. White enamel dial seems to be flawless. Original hands and thick mineral glass. Movement is in good running condition.
