Vintage 1905 John Grinsell & Sons Solid Silver Cut Glass Inkwell with mounted Cyma Pocket Watch Pocket watch movement is TACY (Tavannes Cyma Watch Co) "Admiral" 17 Jewels, USA Patent May 24 1904, 4 Adjustments A stunning inkwell with quality Cyma pocket watch incorporated into solid silver mount. The mount is hallmarked John Grinsell and Sons, Birmingham 1905.The inkwell is in excellent condition with minimal age related wear that does not detract from its overall presentation or use, there is a miniscule chip on one top corner that is hard to see and a a couple of chips about 1mm on the base. They certainly don't detract from the inkwell. The solid silver mount is in excellent condition with some minor tarnishing in places. It has registered design number 476070 The pocket watch movement does work though the winding shaft is loose and will need looking at.
There is a hairline crack to the ceramic watch face. The stem shaft to the pocket watch has been secured to the silver mount (view photo 12) The silver mount measures approx 43.47mm diameter There is also a dust cap that fits to the rear of the watch It measures approx 7.4cm by 7.4cm by 8cm high Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description Please view my other listings.
