A beautiful and exceptionally nice condition (as new) solid silver gents pocket watch by John Brown of Kinmarnock, Scotland. It will date by the London hallmarks to 1891 and has matching case and movement serial number 20978. The excellent quality and brightly gilded chain driven Fusee movement is in excellent working order and has recently been serviced. As you can see it is jewelled on the going train and has a cut bi-metalic balance.

It is keeping good time for a 130 + year old watch and there is a winding and setting key included. The super condition large and substancial solid silver case measures 54mm diameter approx. Hinges are strong and unstressed with the covers closing well and there are no dents or dings.

The unworn and still crisp engine turned rear cover opens easily for winding. It has a very clean and undamaged white ceramic dial with black Roman numerals and a smaller sunken seconds dial. Blued steel hands and a clear crystal glass all add the quality and originallity of the watch.
