On the back of the case is a monogram of the letters'GCS', and on the inside is engraved with'To GILYARD From HILDA March 20th 1912. The time is changed by opening the front of the case and sliding out the lever and then winding the crown to the correct time.To view the time the pocket watch is held sideways with the crown at the 3 o'clock position. This watch case has a full British hallmark which dates it to 1910 and has the serial number. This watch is in excellent antique condition and over a 5 hour test kept good time. There is a full British hallmark showing the London assay mark for imported gold,'18' and'. 75' for 18 carat gold and the date letter'P' for 1910.
