1918 Beautiful Silver WALTHAM 17J PS BARTLETT Gents Pocket Watch & Chain Antique

  
A beautiful and excellent condition, good quality Silver pocket watch by the Waltham Watch Co USA. It will date by the movement serial number 22295134 to circa 1918. There is a beautiful hand inscription inside the rear cover which helps to add some history to the watch.

The excellent high quality 17 jewel movement marked P S Bartlett and ADj, is very clean as it has just been serviced. It is running with a good balance swing in all positions and keeping very good time for a 100+ year old watch. Button winding and hand set both function smoothly.

The Silver Dennison case is in very good condition measures 50mm diameter approx. It is in generally excellent condition and has polished up very well to make a nice attractive pocket watch. Hinges are strong and unstressed and all covers close well. The attached silver chain is quite short and looks to have possibly been a bracelett at some time.

It has a nice undamaged white ceramic dial with black Roman numerals and a sunken seconds dial. Blued steel hands and a clear original crystal glass all add the overall quality of the pocket watch.
