1944 Elgin Military Deck Watch / Pocket Watch 22 Jewels B W Raymond Working G8. Vintage Circa 1944 metal cased Elgin Deck watch / pocket watch Size 16 Grade 581 in very good working order. The dial is white enamel with black numerals and blued steel hands with centre sweep hand and marked Elgin and the military arrow.

The movement is fully jewelled with a Swiss lever escapement exceptionally clean with a good strong tick keeping excellent time and marked under the balance wheel Elgin Natl Watch Co USA, 22 Jewels Adjusted 5 Positions B W Raymond Temperature with the number 42078782 which dates the watch to 1944. The back covers are marked to the outside Elgin National Watch Co Ser No 905 with the military arrow. It is button wind and set with hack when setting the time. The dial and dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks. The case is clean and bright with very little wear with both the front and back covers screwing down nice and tight. It Measures 50mm excluding crown and comes supplied in its original glazed mahogany wooden deck box as in the photos. The deck box is in very good condition with good hinges and closing catch.
