High-quality English silver fusee pocket watch, by Coventry watchmaker. 33 & 34 Hertford Street, Coventry. Model (as seen on the dial), a name and model registered by Norris through patent, so scarce and very collectable. During the period c1840 - 1900, the buoyant city of Coventry watchmaking community was widely regarded as not only the best in Britain, but quite probably, the best in the world and Henry Norris was one of leading lights and pioneers of innovative watch manufacturing in the city.

Hallmarked London 1875, the watch has a Norris signed white enamelled dial. With subsidiary second's dial and retains its original blued hands. The watch's fabulous fusee movement. With an engraved Coventry Star of quality on the backplate. Has a compensated with ruby end stone.
