American Antique Full Hunter Gold Plated Pocket Watch, Chain & Fob. Good-wo

  
A lovely antique American watch in very good original condition & in working order, dating from the 1880's it measures approximately 52mm wide without the bow. A rare example of a Full Hunter from the Illinois Watch Co. Springfield, with the CHARLMERS patent pinion dated - 12-19-82. The Albert chain is just over 10 long & it also has a lovely fob on the chain. The gold plated case is numbered: 1666838 & the movement is numbered: 286922. A great watch at a fraction the cost of a solid gold one from the same period & still really looking the part.

Please note this has sat unused in a drawer for decades & although working well it may need a clean / service to keep perfect time. Also the outer case of the watch is well worn, the engraving is faint in places & the gold plating has worn through in several small areas- see pictures.
