ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE WATCH. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE RAILWAY TIMEPIECE. I HAVE FOR SALE TODAY, A SOLID SILVER RAILWAY POCKET WATCH FROM THE RARELY FOUND LONDON AND BRIGHTON SOUTH COAST RAILWAY COMPANY. THE FANTASTIC WALTHAM MOVEMENT DATES THIS SUPERB QUALITY WATCH TO 1903/4. The case to this beautiful watch is made from GOOD gauge SOLID 925 STERLING ENGLISH SILVER.

The case is made by Aaron Luftkin Dennison (ALD) and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1906. Everything about this watch case is original and fantastic. It shows only light wear and tear with normal wear scratches to the case back and a THREE quite noticeable dings through age related wear and tear.

The dust cover shows some light wear scratches. As this is the rare solid silver version of this type of watch which is thought to be used by the Station Master It is FULLY marked.

London & Brighton & South Coast Railway. On the solid silver DUST COVER rather then case back which is how guards watches were generally marked. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining really well. THE WATCH MEASURES A LARGE 5.4CMS (54mm) across.

This watch is so rare. This stunningly rare and collectible watch has a nice original brilliant white dial. The dial has NO HAIRLINES or damage of any sort that I can see and looks fabulous. It is unsigned which is correct.

It has beautiful pronounced sharp and crisp ROMAN black painted numerals, which are absolutely, crisp and clear with no apparent wear. The crystal is original and is made from thick glass. It shows a some light marks on its surface but to find this age of watch with. An original glass crystal is fantastic.

The beautiful antique spade style watch hands are blued steel and are in near mint condition! This is a fabulous condition, STUNNING WALTHAM made 15 jewels FULLY SIGNED crown wind and set VERY HIGH QUALITY full plate movement with a Breguet hairspring and GOLD regulator plate. The movement is numbered 133xxxxxx.

I have entered this number in the Waltham database and it dates it to 1903/4! The movement has 15 jewels and has some stunning damesceening on the top plates and balance cock. The watch runs extremely well, and started to tick after two turns of the crown. It has now been FULLY SERVICED (2018) by my watch maker at substantial cost to me. The balance has a great action. It keeps good time as tested over a 12 hour period. It winds smoothly, and the hands setting works as it should. The crown is excellent condition and the chain ring shows some normal wear having been in use on the Railway.

THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST RAILWAY WATCHES THAT I HAVE HAD. AS SO IT COMMANDS A PRICE BUT WHOMEVER BUYS IT WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well.

Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming. Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches.

Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation. Please do not waste anyones time if you are not interested.
