ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! THIS IS A RARE PRE GROUPING PIECE.

I HAVE FOR SALE TODAY A RARELY SEEN RAILWAY POCKET WATCH BY OMEGA FROM THE RARE'NORTH EASTERN' RAILWAY COMPANY. THIS FANTASTIC OMEGA DATES TO CIRCA 1912 AND IS SUPERB QUALITY RAILWAY POCKET WATCH. The SCREW BACK & BEZEL case to this beautiful watch is made from VERY thick heavy gauge white metal.

The case is made by OMEGA and has the OMEGA MARK inside of the case back. Everything about this watch case is original and fantastic. It shows normal use wear and tear including light marks to the case back. It is marked'NER' (quite worn but still legible) and numbered'221A' on the case back. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining really well and apart from a slight scuff under the lettering it is in really excellent condition.

THE WATCH MEASURES A LARGE 5.7CMS (57mm) IN DIAMETER. There are no signs of abuse.

This stunningly rare and collectible watch has a STUNNING condition original brilliant white dial. The dial has no hairlines that I can see. It is unsigned which is correct. It has beautiful pronounced sharp and crisp ROMAN black painted numerals, which are absolutely, crisp and clear with no apparent wear. The plastic crystal has some light wear but nothing detrimental.

The beautiful antique style watch hands are blued steel and are in lovely condition! This is a fabulous condition, STUNNING OMEGA MADE RARE 19 ligne LOBNN (42.7mm) 15 jewel movement.

It is unsigned but is signed underneath the dial by OMEGA. It is also signed by the retailer who are'REID & SON NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE' It is crown wind and set VERY HIGH QUALITY. The watch runs well, and started to tick after a few turns of the crown.

It has been lightly oiled by my watch maker. The balance has a good action.

It keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. It winds smoothly, and the hands setting works as it should. The crown is excellent condition and the chain ring shows some normal light wear having been in use on the Railway.

THIS IS CERTAINLY A VERY RARE N. RAILWAY WATCH AS I HAVE SEEN NO OTHERS BY OMEGA! WHOEVER BUYS IT WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well. Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming.

Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation.
