This handsome antique fine silver cased pocket watch would make a wonderful gift! The case is marked with the Swiss three Bears mark for 935 silver or fine silver, it has a Swiss made movement, imported to the UK for H Samuel Manchester, the watch is named the Acme. The rich old patinated silver contrasts beautifully against the crisp white dial.
It has a white enamel dial with black roman numerals and smart gold tone hands, there is a subsidiary second dial with gold hands. To the reverse there is a small circular cartouche with an engine turned pattern surrounding, this could be monogrammed if desired. Key wind watch, it does not come with the original key however we do supply it with a replacement antique key.
The inner cuvette is inscribed with a name James Nelson. A lovely antique pocket watch with a smart design. Victorian era, c1900, Swiss marks for 935 fine silver, made for H Samuel.Good used condition overall, running and ticking, the glazing is a replacement and is perspex safety glass, general signs of use and wear, some wear to the inner cuvette and scratches, a little aged patina. 1.90 width of the watch.
