Antique Men's Pocket Watch

  
Might be from 1870 - 1879. Hallmarked case with the stamp'A G'. Fine Silver (Argent Fin) case. Watch case is numbered with 20467. Finely engraved case on front and back. Present is another stamp inside the case in a shape of five-petal-flower but is not readable. It might represent a small object with finess quality 800/1000 that covers period of silver manufacture in provinces outside Paris in France in the period from 10th May 1838 till 1973. SAVOYE BESANCON (Louis Savoye, Besançon is a city in eastern France, near the border with Switzerland). CYLINDRE HUIT RUBIS (cylindre watch, number 9 indicates number of jewels).

The watch is currently not working. Size: 47 mm x 33 mm.
