Antique Pair Case Fusee Pocket Watch, Albert & Fob by Duncan Mackae Inverness

  

The outer case is Sterling Silver, 50mm in diameter and the date mark is partially obscured; assuming it's a "P" then it's Hallmarked for Chester 1878-79 but there are quite a few other possibilities in that type face. The inner case is 44mm and for date marks see above. The key wound movement is signed "Duncan Mackae Inverness". With pressure to the fusee cone the escapement ticks away quite happily NOTE:- NOT a verge.

The fusee chain is unhooked from the mainspring barrel and for the life of me I can't see the end. The enamel dial has a hairline from the centre to 10:30 and the hour hand is bent. It's a new glass and I spent ages with one of those petrol based label removing pens trying to get the sticker off and gave up for fear of scratching the glass. By new glass I mean "New Old Stock".

The outer case has no glass as usual. The Albert is about 15 1/2 long and one of those with every link stamped. NOTE:- We added the T-Bar & it's NOT Sterling Silver while the rest is, including the fob (but obviously not the key).
