Antique Sterling Silver Enameled Blackamoor Brooch Bucherer Swiss Skeleton Watch

  
You are viewing an antique Art Deco Swiss novelty watch by Bucherer. I would estimate that it was made some time between 1900 and 1925. It was most likely made for a lady and has an enameled blackamoor with a turban to attach the watch to an article of clothing. The watch itself has a 15 jewel movement and is in good running order. The bezel is encrusted with marcasites and the movement is a skeleton movement in that it can be viewed through its convex crystal back. The face is a silver toned face with red gold toned Arabic numerals. The diameter of the face is approximately 16 millimeters (not including the bezel).

The total length of the watch with the blackamoor pin is approximately 55 millimeters. The condition of the piece is overall good with no cracks to the watch crystal. Some wear to the gentleman's turban including some enamel loss. Please refer to photos and feel free to ask any questions.
