ANOTHER FABULOUS ROLEX POCKET WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIME! OFFERED TODAY IS THIS LOVELY GENUINE AND RARE ROLEX PRINCE IMPERIAL ART DECO CIRCA 1930'S/40'S CHRONOMETER GRADE POCKET WATCH WHICH IS FULLY SERVICED AND IS IN WORKING CONDITION. THIS IS THE OBSERVATORY QUALITY MOVEMENT THAT WAS THE PINNACLE OF THE ROLEX BRAND AT THIS TIME. This is a LOVELY 3 piece snap back EXCELLENT fully signed by ROLEX slim watch case.

The case is of good quality and looks very nice. It shows light wear marks through normal age related use to the case back but no dings that I can see. The case bezel is in good condition. The watch has no engravings to the rear. This beautiful quality ROLEX watch case is fully signed inside the case back. The chrome plated chain ring shows some darkening or maybe old plate loss in a few places but is still functional. The case measures 4.4cms (44mm) across.

This beautiful FULLY SIGNED ROLEX pocket watch dial has a fantastic white finish with a light patina and is in lovely condition. It shows only a some light spotting (a testiment to its originality) here and there when veiwed under magnification (see pics) The dial has beautiful applied gold Roman/baton numerals which show some oxidisation and is fully signed'ROLEX CHRONOMETER' underneath the number twelve and'PRINCE IMPERIAL to the center. The dial has a nice outer minute track which is in good condition.

The minute and hour hands are original and are golden steel with just a little oxidisation and the sub second hand is black steel. It may be a later replacement and shows some light wear across its surface.

This is one of the FINEST & RAREST MOVEMENTS EVER COMMISSIONED BY THE ROLEX WATCH COMPANY. Chronometer grade quality movements were stringently tested and issued with a'Class A' certificate by the KEW or GREENWICH OBSERVATORIES in LONDON to be able to carry the'Chronometer quality' tag. These movements were only made in small numbers and are exceedingly rare to find. They were made with a'Protecting escapement' which was a Rolex patent. This was a plate that virtually covered the balance for protection.

This one is the 18 jewel version timed in 6 positions. The movement is FULLY SIGNED (see photos) with the wording as it should be for its type and quality. This is a CHRONOMETER movement and is fitted with a patented ROLEX micro metric regulator. This beautiful movement has been SERVICED by my watch maker and is running well and keeping time to within a minute per day.

There is a little brassing on the plates with normal age related wear. Please bear in mind that it cannot be expected to keep Observatory quality time now after approximately 80+ years.
