Decorated Antique horn pocket-watch Pair Case circa 1790

  

This antique pocket-watch case dates back to the late 18th century, around 1790. Made of white metal and covered in blond horn and decorated with a country village scene, it is a rare and beautiful piece.

The case fits most pocket watches of the time, and would make a wonderful addition to any collection of antique jewellery or watches. The watch face aperture is 5.5cm and the inside is 6cm in diameter. The hinge and the release button both operate as they should. There is no damage to the back horn outer case or the metal liner, hinge or release button.

There are a few metal rivets missing and a couple of slight'dings' to the front horn that are barely visible but I mention them for accuracy. Please ask if you would like any more info or more pictures.
