ENGLISH SILVER FUSEE PAIR DOUBLE CASED POCKET WATCH, ELLON ABERDEENSHIRE. A nice quality, antique, Victorian, gentleman's sterling silver pair or double cased, fusee Pocket Watch. The watch has a couple of old watchmaker's papers in the outer case, one from George Bruce of Oldmeldrum and the other from George Shepherd of Ellon, so most likely it has spent its entire life in Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland. The English made, sterling silver case is in good condition, all covers opening and closing tightly as they should. Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and the date letter "Q" for 1899/1900. The part serial number 445 to match the movement proving both are original and have been together since new. The decorative silver and gold dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals with a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock.

The fusee movement is unsigned, with the serial number 7445. It is key wind and set by the key provided. This is a substantial watch, it measures 53mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 137.0g. Overall, this is a good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection.
