A VERY GOOD, GENTLEMAN'S STERLING SILVER CASED, KAYS KEYLESS TRIUMPH, POCKET WATCH c1936. A good, gentleman's Swiss made sterling silver cased Pocket Watch dating from c1936, the Kay's Keyless Triumph. This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order. The English made, sterling silver case is in good condition, both covers opening and closing tightly as they should. It has full English hallmarks for sterling silver.
The maker's mark "ALD" for Aaron Lufkin Dennison, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the anchor Birmingham town mark and the date letter "M" for 1936/37. Also stamped with the case maker's name, Dennison Watch Case Co Ltd. The rear of the case with engine turned engraving and a central cartouche. The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock.
It is signed Swiss Made. The good quality, 15 jewel movement is in excellent working order. The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). Overall, this is a very good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection. We always have a large number of pocket watches in stock.
