Lovely Antique Waltham 220 Pocket Watch. Gentlemans Dress Watch Size 12.

The case is a Philadelphia Watch Case Co. It is in good condition with no major damage, just light pocket wear, there is a small scar to the edge of the rear lid. The lids are screw on/off with the threads still in good order.

The bow is a good fit on the pendent. The bezel has a hard acrylic crystal in good condition with an age related light yellow tint. The watch is crown wind and crown set.

The 15 jewel movement is signed A. The serial number 8734743 lists it as the model 1894, size 12, 15 jewel and was built 1898. The jewels are gold cased and screw set, with nice damascene work on the rear nickel steel plates. The watch is winding smoothly and is running strongly. The enamel dial is in fair / good condition, there is a chip under the edge at 8 and a hairline across the dial from 8 to 4.

Fine Arabic numerals and outer red five minute marker points. The hands are fine spade blued steel. Please remember this is over 124 years old, an antique working timepiece. My listings are for antique, vintage or old items, a. Ll will have some signs of age, use or wear.
