Masonic George lll, Hallmark For 1816, Good Pair Cased Solid Silver Pocket Watch

  
Very good solid silver Masonic pair cased pocket watch with hallmarks dating it to the reign of King George lll and this 1816 in working condition by John Edmonds of Liverpool. The undamaged 1 3/4 inch enamel dial having masonic symbolism of the all seeing eye, chequered pavement, pillars, square & compasses etc. Gold hands denoting the passing of the hours. Typical fusee movement with round, or barrel, pillars and a pierced and engraved 3/4 plate balance cock depicting a Griffon and a Cornucopia. Steel three arm balance and signature of'D. Edmonds, Liverpool' and numbered 36665. A silver pair case housing the movement and both inner and outer cases in good condition commensurate with the 208 years that the watch has been around. The plain cases both matched and carry the makers stamp'S.

Outer case has a watchmaker's advertising paper in the back of the case. All in all an interesting watch having early Masonic interest and also being of a decent size; in good general condition and working.
