Quality Antique Silver Patent English Lever Pocket Watch Chester 1899

  
A lovely quality antique English, solid silver key wind pocket watch. With'Improved Patent' English Lever movement, white dial with subsidiary seconds dial and Roman chapters, fully matching hallmarked double back case, dust cover and ornate balance cover. The jewelled movement is numbered 394213 and marked'Reversing Pinion' and it winds and the balance swings but it doesn't quite go - it all looks complete though so it should be fine after a clean & service. It's hallmarked Chester 1899 with the maker's marks TPH and is in excellent clean condition with a dent to the back cover and what appears to be a replaced / recovered seconds dial and near perfect main dial. It weighs 141 grams and measures 2.2 inches case diameter. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
