Very Good, Antique 10ct Solid Gold, Waltham Royal, Half Hunter Pocket Watch

  
VERY GOOD QUALITY, ANTIQUE, 10CT SOLID GOLD, WALTHAM ROYAL, HALF HUNTER POCKET WATCH. A lovely, very good quality, 10CT Gold Half Hunter Fob Pocket Watch in good condition and working order. The serial number dating the watch to c1886. The 10CT solid gold case stamped "10C" for 10 carat gold alongside the maker's mark "AB" for the Waltham Watch Company. AB (Alfred Bedford) was the manager of the Waltham Watch Co. The inner cuvette and front cover similarly marked. The case has lovely engine turned engraving and a central shield shaped cartouche to the rear that has engraved initials. The front of the case has the hours in Roman numerals in blue enamel. There are some minor indents to the rear, a very minor imperfection. The suspension loop is 9 carat gold. The movement is in good condition and working order. Waltham Mass" and has the model name "Royal. The white enamel dial in good condition, with the hours in Roman numerals. A very minor short, faint hairline from centre to the sub seconds dial. Overall a lovely example in good condition and working order. The watch measures 40mm across the case. The weight is 53.7g. Thank you for viewing this listing from.
