Victorian Antique Silver'The Ludgate' Pocket Watch. The 0.925 silver case is hallmarked at London for 1886, with the makers mark for J. It is in very good condition with medium even pocket wear. The bezel has a bevel edged mineral crystal in a good condition. The Benson Ludgate jewelled movement is in a good clean condition.

It is winding fully and running well and keeping a good time. The watch is key wind and set at the back. The key is with it. The ivory white enamel dial is in excellent condition, no major damage just a short hairline at the five marker. The hands are excellent whip and spade gold gilt.

This watch is offered for sale running with key. Please remember this is circa 138 years old, a quality antique working timepiece. The service history is not recorded but the watch has been in my collection for some years and was probably serviced when I acquired it. My listings are for antique, vintage or old items, a.
