Vintage Waltham 17 Jewel Sterling Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch with Chain

  
Silver Waltham 17 Jewel, sterling silver half hunter pocket with matching silver Albert chain. The case by Dennison is sterling silver hallmarked Birmingham 1933. In good condition, no major scratches, no signs of wear, has a few minor dings and marks to outer rear cover and a pin point ding to front and rear covers, nothing major or distracting. The front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should.

Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Front and inner mineral glass crystals in perfect condition. The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Bold Black Roman Numerals, blued steel hands.

Bartlett 17 jewel movement, beautifully damascened. The Albert chain is all solid sterling silver and hallmarked. Round curb links, 23cm long from T bar to end of clip. Fully serviced including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.

Presented in a fitted gift box. Another top piece, great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. Popular choice as a gift to the groom from the bride. Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary.

It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day. I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition.

It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
