WW1 Antique Buren Swiss Silver Crown Wind Pocket Watch, 15 Jewels, Crows Foot

  

Antique Buren Swiss Silver Case Crown Wind Pocket Watch, 15 Jewels, with engraved Crows Foot. Beneath the crown is stamped with the silver London import assay mark and lion passant (925 silver). The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals and hands. To the rear, the back cover has been etched and has an open cartouche. Below the etching is a crows foot.

There is also registration number: 1421728. The inner silver case is also marked with WHS, 925, London assay office import stamp and the serial number. There are also numbers and letters etched into this cover, which are likely to be service records, shown in my photos. The face needs some cleaning and has a hairline crack around the 10 o'clock mark towards the one o'clock mark. The case is in fair antique condition, with several dings to the back and the usual scratching from wear.

All the covers close nice and tight. The glass comes out of the face easily when the face cover is open.

Movement Diameter: 39.9mm (1.57). The tick wants to go but the escapement is not engaging the tock.

Was winding fine, but when I tried today it has stopped winding. I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish.
